Revontuli


Der Revontuli ist schon längst fertig, nur fehlte mir das passende Bild dazu. Erst keine Zeit und nun schlechtes Wetter...
The Revontuli shawl is finished just a matching picture was missing. First I had no time and now the weather is too bad for a good sunny background in my garden...

Ich weiss immer noch nicht, ob mir die Farben nun gefallen oder nicht. Mich erinnern sie zu sehr an die 70er Jahre, aber ich mag meinen Revontuli trotzdem. Die Farben Orange, dunkelrot, lila und grün sind die 200g Ronda von Wolle Rödel, das ätschige Rosa, Hellblau und braun stammt von Resten von Lana Grossa Mixer. Das macht zusammen knapp 350g Wolle, die ich verstrickt habe. Das Muster selbst war so richtig einfach, mir fehlte irgendwie die Herausforderung daran, deswegen bin ich bereit, dieses Tuch zu verschenken... Aber es hält gerade schön warm! ;-)
I just don't know if I like the colors or not. The orange-brown combination is too much 1970ies for me but nevertheless I like my Revontuli.
The orange, dark red, mauve and green are 200g Ronda from Wolle Rödel, the ugly pink, light blue and brown are from leftovers of Lana Grossa Mixer. Altogether I needed about 350g yarn. The pattern itself was very easy I missed the challenge hereby. Therefore I would give it away for present... But at the moment it keeps me warm! ;-)



Meine Spinnerei für die dicke Strickjacke ist bald fertig, noch 3 Spulen (oder 150g) helle Wolle und ich kann ein neues Spinnprojekt anfangen. Und ich weiss auch schon was - ich brauche 1100m feinste Wolle für ein neues Lace-Projekt: Secret of the Stole III für das ich gerade mal eine Maschenprobe aus Seidana von Junghans gestrickt habe. Allerdings mag ich die Seidana nicht so gerne, weil a) mit Polyester-Anteil (igitt!) und b) nicht handgesponnen. Ich werde zum Wollsnob! ;-) Ok, die Maschenprobe ist 20cm breit und 18cm hoch. Mit eingestrickten Perlen! Prima! ;-)

My spinning for the bulky cardigan is almost finished only 3 bobbins (or 150g) light fleece and I can start a new project. And this new project will be 1100m fine lace yarn for the Secret of the Stole III . I just knitted the gauge last night with Seidana from Junghans. I don't like Seidana much because a) it is part polyester and b) it is not handspun!!! I turn out to be a yarn snob! ;-) Ok, the gauge is 8" wide and 7" long. With beads! Wow!
